Okay, December 8th — thanks. Yah, I am one of the few people not on fbook I guess.

Is there going to be a November C&C for Fort Worth??? Anyone know?

I didn’t make it to the October meet, were there any burnout/peelout issues this time? I agree with most that quick acceleration should not be a problem…

Hmmm, so it’s Cars and Coffee, but not really affiliated with this site? That’s odd. Anyhoo, I’m not on fbook so I can’t see the link, but I may still show up just to see what kind of turnout there is. For some reason I doubt as many exotics would show, but I’m more into vintage cars anyway, so we’ll see. I would assume getting there right at 8am, there should be plenty of spaces, no?

Hey, that’s not a bad location. I think I’ve been there before during a swap meet or something. So, how is this being promoted? Will Fort Worth get its own C&C pages? I will show up with or without my “new” old car, depending on if I get my carb issues resolved in time…

Car is still available — When I renewed the ad recently, the link changed. It is now… http://dallas.craigslist.org/ndf/cto/2976834920.html

The car is still available. Email for hi-res photos. $28,900 or best offer will take her home.

4/4 — Just a heads up, if you, or anyone you know may be interested — I will have this car at the April meet this weekend for viewing, hopefully in the “for sale” area if there is space when I arrive. Thanks.

Specific models have been mentioned, but I think the main point is not what kind of cars they are, but that late model vehicles in general have taken up a disproportionate number of spaces, relative to the size of the venue. I would feel the same way if all of a sudden a hundred ’57 Chevy’s started showing up early and crowding everyone else out. It’s an issue of balance more than anything.

I sort of agree with DallasSLR (+William48 posted quicker than I ) — I know the late model Corvette and Mustang owners love their cars, but I’m sorry, a great majority of them are just too common and yet take up a disproportionate number of spaces considering the wide variety of cars out there. At the March meet I saw many, many classic and exotic cars parked in the overflow/spectator area because spaces were already taken up. If there was some way to cap the number of spaces for late model and leave more for classic and exotics, I think that would be a better experience for the people coming to see unusual cars.

Other than that one issue, I think C&C is a great event and look forward to it each month.

Not sure if this was the first month debut, but I noticed the C&C “To Go” cars for sale area last week. My only suggestion would be if there were some way to keep that area cleared of parked cars between the spaces. I saw two or three “for sale area” empty spaces that were not accessible because they were blocked by parked cars that I don’t believe were for sale. Other than that, I think it is a good idea.
