MikeM Please PM me if you have one or know of one

    Thank You in advance

Don’t recall seeing them down there. There is a yellow one that frequents the Supercar Sunday event in Woodland Hills though.

Why not bring the Vette? If it’s done well, it should make it in. Lots of Vettes park in the exhibition lot.

If you would like to see what the original C&C spirit (intent) was, look at this web site:

    http://www.drivingline.com/2013/05/cars-coffee-the-real-beginnings-at-crystal-cove/

Look carefully at the car types in the large overall picture shot…

You mean… these plain cars driven by enthusiasts who are just your regular joes like the bimmerphiles, Mustang drivers, Mopar fans, and such? Yeah, I see them all over in this picture.lololol

Don’t know why people have to keep insisting that the C&C concept is for everyone to show off their daily drivers. It really clearly isn’t. It’s for enthusiasts who own or like or just want to see special cars. Doesn’t have to be an ultra expensive or exotic car, but it has to be special, and different, and not just a regular mass production car with some rims and a muffler.

If they really wanted to do that type of show for their regular cars, there are tons of car meets all over the country for people to gather and look at each other’s VW’s, bimmers, Subarus, Scions, etc. Just look up SoCalCarCulture or SoCalCarMeets for the calendar and find your brand for their meet.

Wow, sorry to hear about that… picking an E30 and E46 over your SEMA truck? Wow… simply wow… then a C4… amazing.

Didn’t know the rules changed this drastically and swung the other way around. I think your truck is way more unique than any of those cars, even fixed up E46’s. Yes, there were tons of those around here back in the day when they were NEW, but now that they are a few generations old, you don’t even see them anymore here.

Oh well, haven’t had the urge to wake up to go there in a long time, but wow, it sure sonds very different now.

I forgot to mention, its a 1987 Volkswagen Vanagon Camper – does anyone think I would even be able to show it?

    Thank you

Get there between 6-630am to guarantee a parking spot inside the main lot. It’s mainly first come first serve for parking in the exhibitor area. As for who gets in, it’s all up to the organizers who are out front ushering people in or directing them to the spectator lot.

I think the 87 Vanagon is cool. You hardly see those around anywhere. I think the last time I saw one was maybe in the late 80’s or early 90’s. Come on down and have a good time.

I am definitely not the approving authority and have no desire to be such. However, I respect the event and the nature and intent of the event. Elitist? Far from it. Only to those who feel it and have to project outward.

I know my opinion probably means nothing, but you should both drop it. Neither of you attempted to help the original poster and all you’ve done is created an off-topic thread of your bickering. If someone happened to come along and provide something useful, nobody will probably even read through all the b.s. here to get to any kernels of useful info.

Actually, I guess you can help by going back to delete all your posts here.

I agree with you, but I will say I was not the aggressor and was only responding in a steadfast but unyielding manner.

You still did not post the list of cars you currently own……….Don’t be shy….

So now it’s moved onto the internet version of “let’s whip’em out and compare”?

Honestly, you and I can say whatever we want and nobody would believe it even if was the truth, right?

Then it’s another 3 pages of prove it and more innuendos and BS about who owns what and who cares about what.

How is this germane to you being honest about the virtues of Civic ownership?

Nothing wrong with a Civic….so what do you own? Post your current list…..

You’re absolutely correct. Nothing wrong with a Civic. Never owned one but they are decent cars and I wouldn’t mind driving one at all.

However, in the context in which you referred to it, I am pretty sure it’s not your intent to espouse the virtues of the Honda Civic.

A Civic is a fine car and I was giving you a compliment as being the owner of an exceptional motorcar. I do not have any reason to insult you. You do quite well on your own with your constant soapbox rhetoric about who should park where in Irvine. Thank God, here in Florida, everyone is made to feel welcome. Our motto is “If you like it, we probably will too”. We don’t save spaces for some rich guy who thinks his amount of sleep is any more valuable than some working stiff that hauls his butt out of bed to show off his pride and joy. We may not have all the exotics you west coast guys have at C&C, but we have real car enthusiasts that can actually do more to a car than write a fat check for it.

Yes, my Corvette Z06 is bone stock and would be relegated to your spectator parking. I do not even take it to local events here. I have other more interesting vehicles to take to car events.

Haha. Wow. Really? You’re complimenting me by saying that I own a Civic?

Hell, I am 66/290. I guess I could park next to your Civic…..Would that be ok with you?

Wow, does that qualify as your idea of an insult? Making up some random car that I might or might not own in the hopes that you can look down upon Civic owners? What if I did own one or didn’t own one? Does that make you feel better about yourself? C’mon, you can do better than that.

As for parking next to me… if it makes you feel better, I will go out and buy a Civic and park it in the spectator’s building and you can park your Corvette where it belongs, in the spectator parking lot. How’s that?

Yep…..another mullett wearing, teeth missing, poorly educated, trailer living, Corvette driving, redneck from Florida…….

Actually… the Corvette owners here don’t fit that profile much. There’s a minimum age/weight requirement though for Corvette owners to park at CnC. I think it’s 55/250.
