Couldn’t ask for better weather today. Lots of great cars too. Some of my favorites from today.

Jeff, Thanks again for all the great shots. Sorry we didn’t get a chance to chat. I gotta know what you were using for a lens this week. Love the effect on the close ups. Maybe next time I”ll remember to clean the bugs out of my grill. RATS! Ted

Too funny about the bugs Ted, I didn’t even notice them! You can’t hide much from the camera! I only use two lenses…for cars, the one I like the most is the Canon 100-400mm LIS. Being such a long telephoto, I have to get quite a distance from the car, but it allows me to isolate the car from the crowd, and being a stabilized lens, it helps me get a nice sharp image after a few cups of coffee. The other, is a wide angle, 10-20mm. Just the opposite of the 100-400, I have to be just a few feet or less from the subject, sometimes only inches. The downside of that lens is the distortion, it can make things look a little strange at times, and my shadow gets caught in the frame pretty often too.

    See you next week!

Good to see you back Don. Probably the nicest weather we’ve had yet. Hope the shoulder heals up quickly for ‘ya. I’m not sure how you shined up your car, but it sure does look nice. thumbup
