Hello all,
I know that all of you car aficionados must be attending a few races every year so why not share some of the pictures that you have of such events. I will start in just a few minutes here.
August 4, 2007 at 1:00 am #129009AnonymousGuestFYI these are only a couple of nearly 1000 photos taken that weekend. If you would like to see any specific car that i did not take the time to put up here please just ask and i would be happy to try and find it. I have pictures of every car in ALMS and SPEED GT i believe. Final note many of these pictures were taken by one Craig Stewart. I dont know exactly which ones though. Thats what we get for sharing his single D200. Ok now pictures….
That is the back of the AutomotiveForums.com Skyline GTR R34 that i mentioned in another thread. Unfortunately this car would not start once on the grid, faulty cam sensor……
And that is me, on the Left is Doug Fehan i believe. He was very nice and let me sit up in his pit box during the grid walk. those Corvettes sound mean!

Was shooting with a Nikkor 80-200mm lens for most of the weekend.
See if you can tell whats wrong with that last picture……
Those are just some of the pics i have of that car, too many to sort through to grab them all, let me know what you think. And again credit for many of those including that awesome last one goes to Craig Stewart.

None of these save for the one i made into a poster and printed of the Audi have any post processing done. Also i do not remember what mode we were shooting in. I will be sure to make note of it when i go again this year. Cant wait for this race again in October!!!!!!!!!

those are some bright colors coming out of that lens then.. when in october is it? i might make it a point to come up for something like that.
by the way, you can always look at the meta data embedded in the original photographs for the exif information. it’ll tell you focal length, aperature size, shutter speed, etc. i’m guessing you either had a slower shutter priority speed or a smaller aperature setting to get those panning shots (which aren’t easy to do)
August 6, 2007 at 4:38 pm #129014AnonymousGuestAh you are very smart. I completely forgot about all the embedded exif data in the originals. I will check that out and get back to you. At work now and dont have the pictures here!
