A bunch of Z owners in SoCal participated in this year’s “Tour d’Orange”, a long drive routed through OC from the ocean to the mountains. It’s open to all cars and generally draws the same sorts that attend Cars & Coffee. The event was posted on several BMW boards, but mostly it was Zs that showed up. It seems strange to me that driving around at mostly legal speeds could actually be fun (I’m more of a speed demon), but the atmosphere and HUGE mix of cars made it very interesting. The trip started at http://www.bench-racing.com and ended at a mall for lunch and an impromptu car show. Below are my pics.

There are great roads in NV! Just in my short time around LV I’ve been introduced to several that are much more fun to drive than most of the OC roads, and less crowded.

Thanks for sharing the pics !! Nice write up as well. I enjoyed the event, what a way to start off the New Year. IMHO, it is one thing to have all those great cars parked in one spot and another to cruise the streets with all those beauties. Thanks to Bench Racing for yet another well thought out event !!!! This was my second year attending.
