There was some quite rare museum quality stuff at Cars & Coffee on this day. The first such vehicle was a Cord 812. For those of you that don’t know this was one of the first front-wheel drive production cars and it featured a supercharged V8 under the hood. It was a driver too, as the owner had installed electric fans so he could drive it anywhere he wished.
The other rare specimen was the Zagato bodied Fiat 8V. It is powered by a pretty outstanding for the time 2L V8! Fiat originally wanted to call the car the “V8”, but the name had been trademarked, so instead of paying royalties they settled on 8V.
The other interesting specimens at the show where a matte orange Bentley Continental GT with a Vorsteiner kit, and a Mercedes-Benz S600 massaged over by Brabus. There was also a straight out of the barn looking Honda S800, still wearing its old racing numbers as a badge of honor. Oh and lets not forget the absolutely MINT ’76 Toyota Celica GT Liftback, it looked to have come straight out of 1976. The car was just immaculate!
It was quite the weekend with great variety at hand as always, hope you guys enjoy this weeks selection of pics:
