Just picked this guy up. I’m going on a lake trip next week and needed a longer lens for wakeboard/tubing shots. I’ve been contemplating a 70-200 for a while and decided to spring on it since this vacation was coming up. Now to find a suitable spot to shoot from at C&C.

Got one of those back in ’04, you won’t stop using it for the first 6 months, fantastic lens.
    (Mine is actually for sale).

I’m very excited to use it tomorrow. Are you planning on upgrading to the 2.8 and/or IS version? Now I need to get a 10-22 and I”ll be good for a while. So expensive though >.<

I missed that, mine is actually the 2.8 (non IS) version.
Was actually gonna sell the zoom to get the 10-22 wide angle, (which is perfect for walking around at car shows and my magazine work with a digital crop factor camera body).

Yea, I may end up selling this lens for a 10-22, I’ll most likely hang onto it and upgrade to a 2.8 later on and just fork out the money for the 10-22.
