    1980 BMW M1

    Frank Fahey’s 1980 BMW M1 has been put into procar trim, has raced in the procar series in 1979, 1980 (support to the F1 series). Car has been a daily driver in past years and raced at several different tracks around the West. Modifications include: 10 x 16 & 10 x 14 Youngblood wheels, shod with Goodyear slicks, engine has been warmed over, cams & cam timing, intake system, exhaust system, reworked mechanical fuel injection, MSD ignition, supertrap has 18 plates with washers in between, almost zero back pressure @ 8200 revs (though slightly loud @ 125 db), all suspension components have had their mounting points changed, custom Bilstein shocks w/ 2 1/2 ” coilovers, custom made swaybars, results are close to 2G’s on the street, brakes are modified w/ metallic pads & slotted rotors, 5″ air ducts, large oil cooler has been added for track use, interior seats have been redone with side bolsters, 6 pt. seat belts (driver side) w/ roller retractors on shoulder belts. Car is equipped w/ 11lb Halon fire supression system. Car has 98,000 kilometers, just out looking for a road race!
