We will be having cars and coffee this Saturday April 1 at the Windstream HQ. It was to be cancelled but there was a recent change. This is our last outing at this site, the building manager has agreed to let us have the event one last time at this site to allow us to inform everyone in person that we will no longer be here after April.
The size that the event has grown to large for the site as well as some antics of a select few has caused them to reevaluate their involvement with us. The rapid rate of speed that some choose to leave the property, trash left behind and the size of our group are the causes of our change. In order to keep this great event alive we have to do a better job of policing ourselves and keeping others in compliance with the rules. We need to deter videographers from lining the street and egging people to do burnouts and leave at a rapid rate of speed. Along with the Sheriff’s Dept, CMPD will be placing several officers along Monroe and Galleria Blvd. to deter and to ticket those that are driving recklessly. These hard and fast rules will be enforced more so at our next location (TBD) in order to insure the property owner that we will be good tenets of the property.
We will see you out Saturday and we continue to work hard for you to keep this great event alive.
