Hi All,
Just wanted to update everyone on cars and coffee. Starting March 1 and every first Saturday of the month after that, Waterbean Coffee will be the place for cars and coffee events. I’m the owner of Waterbean Coffee and just talked to the Cornelius PD and also the city of Cornelius and they’re more than welcoming the idea. My goal is to put something together that is fun and safe for everyone to enjoy, and I hate to see one bad apple ruing all the fun for everyone. Therefore, I will try to involve the Cornelius police department and monitoring the situation. Hopefully, we can prevent what happened in Charlotte from happening again. I’m a huge car enthusiast and I started my coffee shop to center around cars and coffee. I’m tired of seeing cars and coffee event getting shutdown or move from one location to the next. There is a reason why it’s call cars and coffee, therefore Waterbean Coffee would be a more suitable place to relax and have fun while enjoying a wonderful cup of coffee. Please help spread the words and let keep this tradition going. We only open for three months and have so far held two events and you can see the pictures of past events on our website. The March 1 event will be much bigger since I’m talking to the Exotic groups and Nascar people to get them involved in this. If anyone have any advices please PM me and together we can put something special together.

any chance you can make it a different weekend instead of the 1st weekend of the month? Many, many of us are still going to go to Matties on the first weekend of each month to continue the current cars and coffee. That has been the traditional date for Charlotte, so lets leave it then and offer a different day? Would love to come to Cornelius, but will still always patronize Mattie’s on the first of each month…
I was thinking about the third Saturday of each month, because we already have that going on currently. However, the decision to have it on the first Saturday was based on other groups that would like to have it the first Saturday of the month. The date can change, if majority of people want it. I will be in constant contact with everyone to make sure we can organize something that everyone can attend and do not have any conflict with other events. Feel free to stop by Waterbean Coffee next Saturday and we can have a discussion about this.

Hi Tony, we are moving our company from NY state to Mooresville shortly and would love to participate.

Definitely going to want to move it to the second Sat so you’re not competing with C&C Charlotte. Hundreds of cars show up there, it’s been going on for ~3+ years, has a central location and strong following. Plus, if you’re competing with C&C Charlotte your advertising on this forum may get deleted. Good luck either way!

Hi Jim,
We would love to have you. Our second cars and coffee will be April 12th the second Saturday since Cars and Coffee Charlotte have been reinstated.
Let help spread the word so we all can create something fun in our area.
