I stop by now and then to see some of the rides that have attended, and I’ve noticed that no-one seems to be taking pictures on a weekly basis.
What has happened? there use to be 3 or 4 different guys shooting….

    🙁

The car event season is winding down so there are a lot of events going on so I imagine people are out getting their fill of one a year events or seasonal events so since C+C is a year round thing in Irvine it will get passed up by photogs now and then in order to attend annual events.

Unfortunately the guy who was responsible for posting the largest selection of photos each week, Max, has moved to another state. Hopefully someone else will pick up the baton and keep things going. I know everyone loves to see what rare gems show up to Irvine each week.

    I am back in CA.

Leo has been uploading the pics in my absence and will continue to upload the pics whenever he takes them.

Oh and my host had issues, so I have moved the site recently too……

cncpics.com now has three people contributing to it !

After a week of server rebuilds and changes to the hosting, the site now appears to be pretty stable and there are over 35,000 images from the event now hosted.

I have not finished the archive upload yet, there are something close to 10,000 images still to add

Feel free to wander through the archives.

In the coming weeks I hope to improve the site performance and maybe change the colors a little 🙂

    Enjoy

    Max

I’ve been out of the C&C scene for quite a while now. Life took over, cars were the same every week, I got tired of waking up. I’m hoping to make it to a few shows over the next few weeks though. Pictures are posted at http://socalautopics.com along with an archive of previous events.

I agree. I’ve been an occasional picture poster. This past month I exceeded the bandwidth allotment with Photobucket, the download site I use. I didn’t even know there was such a limitation. My site access was temporarily halted. Oh well, what do you expect for free. I know there are other photo management sites. I just dread having to learn how to use a new one.

You could always upgrade to the ‘pro; version and get ‘unlimited’ downloads.

I started off using PB but their terms of service and costs lead me to creating my own site using gallery (http://gallery.menalto.com) with a lot of customizations on my ‘own’ server.

The ‘support’ is not too bad as long as you are patient and good at reading – most every problem that you may encounter has already been fixed many times.

The up side is that you are retain image ownership, nobody is going to delete your images for inane reasons and you can choose to advertise, sell, promote and create links as you like.
